Thanksgiving and moving to AZ!

This Thanksgiving was so fun. It was great to spend time with my family and friends! A friend from Utah was also having Thanksgiving with his family in AZ. He is the funniest guy and made the weekend so fun! I didn't take too many pictures, but here are a few things I was able to do. Lunch at Rosas with Elizabeth & Dan Ruden, Spencer Greer. Lunch with Liesel Bagley, see the Temple lights, make gingerbread houses, see Madagascar 2, and shopping!!! It was a great weekend and I am excited that next time I come home I don't have to go back to UTAH! I am moving back to AZ at Christmas time. I will be sad to leave Utah, it has been such a fun place, but I will be going to school full time in AZ and close to my family. I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!

Hello friends! I didn't organize these pictures but this is just a quick update. I am moving this weekend to a house just a few blocks away from where I am right now. I will be living with Becca Hardie, (I met her in my ward this year and she is awesome) Ashley Dean (I have met her briefly she is great) and Katie Forrest (she is from Mesa, I went to high school with her brother Matt, she is just a doll) I am so excited to get to know these girls but I am going to miss Lauren so much, good thing she is moving a few houses down from me! *collage- Cali- Elise Lundquist and Drew Capeners wedding, Tiffany Lyons wedding, camping, Feist concert, Danny my little brother opening his call to Rochester New York mission! Long update

I apologize in advance this is going to be a long one ;) Life is going well, and I am so excited for spring! The last 2 months have been exciting and eventful! I will just give a quick run down, along with pictures of what has been going on.

We had a shower for Melissa right after Conference, she got lots of good stuff for her little girl. This picture is of our cousins that came to the shower.

Danny came up last weekend to snowboard. Brian, and and I met up with Burkley Jensen, Maegan Hoyt, Tyler White. It was such a good day, the sun was out and the snow was great.

Matt's last Cold Stone for a whole month.... Matt is in India on business until May. We miss you Matt!!!

That night I wanted to go longboarding down 3rd south so I asked Mark Garbett to come. It was his first time and on our last time going down Mark got pulled over by a cop. I didn't know it was illegal to Longboard, but in Provo... it is. To make a long story short the cop was my cousin's husband and ended up not giving either of us a ticket. We had a little scare but it ended with us laughing about it and took a picture to remember it. You can't really see it but the cop car is behind us.

Color Festival! Every year this church in Spanish Fork has a color festival, I don't really know why they do it but it was fun to throw colors on eachother and get dirty!

Elizabeth was in Provo visiting and I got to spend the afternoon with her and Spencer Greer! We shopped, ate at J-dawgs, walked around BYU, and went to a baseball game and got some ice cream!

Disneyland!!! I got to go with Brodie and his fiance Lindsey for the weekend to Disneyland. My friend Roger Stimpson flew in and met up with us Friday. Matt Olsen just happened to be in Cali at the same time, Robyn Holland and Melissa Lundquist live in Cali and they spent the day with us too. It was such a fun trip!!!

This is my FAVORITE little girl in America, and just by chance she also happens to be my niece.... it's great how that worked out! I love being an aunt, it is seriously so great. For Eliza being 18 months old, we have quite a bit in common, here are few things.

At Christmas we were cleaning up from dinner and Marci walked out of the pantry and stubbed her toe really bad, and said "ouuuuuuuch" really loud. I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas this year! I love being able to reflect on the Saviors birth and celebrate it with good friends and family. Here are a few updates from the last month.

The greatest part of the holidays is being with family! I love my family so much and had the greatest Christmas ever! Thanks mom & dad for all the hard work that you put in to make Christmas awesome. I loved being able to play with my niece Eliza and nephew Nicholas. They are at such a fun age and do so many cute things.

This year all the kids bought my dad the leg lamp from the movie

"The Christmas Story" it was so fun to see his face when he opened it. We made him put it in our front window... there has been quite a few honks and people stopping to take a picture of it... we love it ;)

I got to go to the BYU vs UCLA game in Vegas, I drove down with Burkley and some of his roommates. The game was so intense, and they almost lost, the crowd went crazy when they pulled it off with the blocked field goal. We were jumping up and down screaming and rushed the field, it was so fun.

I also went to the Ashman Christmas party! It was great, every year they play some type of game and each person on the winning team gets $150. I was lucky enough to be on the winning team this year! I love working for Ashman dental, they have an awesome staff and great patients.

My roommates and I, Lauren Bluth and Camille Pearce threw an ugly sweater party a few weeks ago. We had a blast, eating treats, sipping hot chocolate and listening to our friends live band. I only took a few pictures though.

Our ward had a mustache party to support mens health. They had rock band, and pin the mo (mustache) on selleck. (Tom Selleck). It was a fun little gathering.

Melissa is one of the most genuine, selfless, caring, upbeat, talented girls I know. She can do just about anything, here are just a few things she has mastered, certified to teach pilates and spinning, cutting hair, hosting parties, being an amazing mom, loving others unconditionally, campaigning for Mitt, surfing, being a waitress, making friends, being very handy, and she is so beautiful! I always love being with Melissa, she brightens any room she walks into. The second you meet her you can't help but love her. She is a great example and friend to so many. I hope you have an amazing birthday Melissa, I love your guts!

What a wonderful time of year!!! I will be honest, I just love having a holiday that is spent eating large amounts of food eaten with family. Two of my favorite things ;) I feel so blessed to be part of the crazy Cook family! I love my family and I am so glad that our entire family was there this year. It has been 4 years since we have all been together for Thanksgiving. I loved spending time with my niece Eliza and nephew Nicholas. They are the reason I get homesick. We had fun shopping, watching movies, swimming, playing games, and laughing at eachother.

Last week Melissa Lundquist came to Utah for a little visit, and while she was here she threw me a little.... ummm divorce party. Not that we love celebrating divorces, but to celebrate this next stage of life. She is seriously the sweetest girl, I love her to pieces!!! They had food, pin the pony tail on Stephanie, a white elephant gift exchange and then played the funnest game of boxers to briefs. It was so fun to have old, and new friends there to celebrate with. Thanks Melissa and Elise for an amazing night! I had a blast!!! Earlier that day I got to visit with Kelly Evers at Zupas, she came up from Colorado to visit for the weekend.
Friday night I got to go on the most amazing date I have been on!!!!

Since Melissa's divorce is not final I got to be her date for the night.

It was so fun to spend time with her, she was an amazing date, that's for sure!
Yesterday I went to the Warren Miller movie Playground, and it was amazing!!! For anyone that loves skiing or snowbaording or just likes to be entertained I highly recommend seeing it this year, I loved every second of it!

Conference weekend!

What an awesome weekend!!! I loved listening to a modern day Prophet! What a blessing it is to have the fullness of this gospel! It was also fun to have Sean and Brodie my brothers here for the weekend. They are such studs, I love them. We had crepes at my house for breakfast Sunday and watched conference and then that night we went up to see all the fall colors at Sundance... Let's just say amazing!!! It is so beautiful right now! It was a great way to end conference weekend. (the pictures were taking by my brother in-law Brian)

This is a quick update, our internet has been down at our condo for a while so I have not had a chance to post anything. Things are going awesome!!! I worked at Sundance for a week and then got a job at a dental office in Provo so I put in my 2 weeks at Sundance. I loved working at Sundance, but I am excited to be working closer to home. My first day at the dental office was Friday and I loved it. These pictures are from the last few weeks that I have been in Provo. Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well! I love you all!

A few weeks ago I read a book called "Who moved my cheese” it was an awesome (quick) read that helped me get excited about this major change in my life. Not that I was excited about this change, but it made me realize how much better off I would be if I looked at this change with a positive & good attitude. And for the exciting news…drum roll… Brrr I have moved to UTAH!!!!! I am so excited to be here and start the next adventure in my life. I will be going to school at night and working during the day. I don’t have a job yet so if anyone knows of a fun job in Provo let me know. I will be living with Camille Pearce and Lauren Bluth. I grew up living around the corner from Camille and we were roommates for a year before I got married and I love her to pieces! Lauren is from Mesa as well but I have never met her but, I have heard tons of great things about her. We will be living in a little townhouse in south Provo. I look forward to the fun times that are ahead.

I had the opportunity to go to California and have a girls week with Melissa (Lundquist). I love her to pieces and I am so glad that she invited me to come spend a much needed, fun filled week. She was so sweet and even found a few different places for us to stay that didn’t have cats or dogs. (I am allergic to them) We had a blast shopping, going to the beach, eating out, having a bonfire, cruising down PCH & singing at the top of our lungs, talking all night, spending time with great friends & her family. I Love the Lundquist family and I want them to adopt me as their 4th daughter. Thanks Melissa for the fabulous week! You are the best!

Wednesday night the Scarbrough’s had us over for a BBQ at there house! It was so fun to see some of my greatest friends there. I love Sister Scarbrough, she was like my 2nd mom in high school. She is the greatest. When we were in high school the Scarbroughs would take us to the lake all the time. The summer before our senior year I got to go with them to Lake Powell with 7 other friends. It was a blast, and while we were at the BBQ we watched the video that Burkley made of our trip. It was hilarious to see how young we all looked and how we acted. It was fun to finally meet Collin’s fiancé, she is adorable and they are so cute together. Stacey and Georgie are both having babies and they are due one week apart, they both look so cute pregnant.

Thursday night I went to dinner with Stef, Sarah and Brooke at the Wildflower bread company it was so fun. The food was really yummy and it was fun to get updates from everyone. I am so lucky to know such great girls! Later that night I went the sneak peak of Bourne Ultimatum, with Thomas and Stef. I LOVED the movie, it was awesome. I would recommend seeing it if you haven’t yet.

This last weekend I got to go to breakfast with a few girls that were in my ward growing up. Rachel Grow, Katie Dickerson, Katie Conover, Rachel Martin. We were only missing 2 girls, Kari Rasmussen and Marissa Whiting. We went to T.C. Eggingtons in Mesa, it was my first time ever going there and it was delicious, they have really good French toast. It was so fun catching up with them and hearing what exciting things they are up to. Then later that day I went to Gecko Grill with my nieces Joslyn and Larissa. They are the cutest girls, I love them to pieces!!!

I am excited for this week because it is my last week of school! I have been taking a sociology class at MCC. It has been a great class and my professor is LDS and he always gives subtle facts, or stats that make the church sound awesome and I love it! I will start school again the end of August, but I am glad I will have a little break.

Weekend update

Thursday night I went with my oldest sister Marci and 3 of her friends to BJ’s and ate yummy appetizers and pizookie!!!! One of my sisters friends that came is going through a divorce and she has 6 beautiful kids, it is so sad. She is such a rock and I have so much respect and admiration for her. I am seriously so thankful for my situation, it could be so much worse.
What is it with these crazy boys!!!????

Friday night I went to I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry, with Stefanie (Albright) and her husband Thomas. It’s quite fun to be the 3rd wheel :} no, I didn’t feel uncomfortable I just hope they didn’t mind me tagging along. The movie was funny but it had a ton of sleazy parts they could have left out.

Saturday night I went to dinner at Café Rio with Annie Randall, Holly Phelps, Kelly (Ethington) & her sister Jody and then we went to see HAIRSPRAY! It was such a cute movie! I love it! The whole movie I was so entertained! I highly recommend seeing it if you haven’t. All in all it was a great week full of fun girls!

A few weeks ago we had a Jensen, Decker and Cook block party at our house. It was so fun to see all three of our families together. Brother and Sister Jensen just returned from Indonesia where they served a mission and Brother Jensen was called to be the Mission President. I love the Jensen’s and Decker’s I am so lucky that I got to grow up next to them. They are the BEST!

We got back last night from Lake Powell and we had a blast! It was fun to spend time with my family in such a beautiful place. We did lots of tubing, wakeboarding, eating and laughing. I love that place and I am so glad we got to go this year.

Over the 4th of July weekend we went to Desert Ridge in Scottsdale for a few days and shopped, ate and hung out at the pool. We watched the fireworks at Tempe Town Lakes,

they were great.

Welcome home brothers! My two younger brothers that are twins came home! I got to see Sean in Harrisburg at his missionary farewell fireside. He looked Awesome and was so happy and full of the spirit. I had to wait until I came home to see the other twin, and he looked just as good. I love my family, they are the best. My brothers did not know anything that was going on with Justin and I. My parents didn’t want them to have to worry about us for the last few weeks of their missions. So, I told them right after they got released and they were so sad and shocked. They cried so hard when I told them. They love Justin and were really close to him. It is so sad. They have been so sweet to me, and when I came home from Maryland they were at the airport with signs and each of them were holding a bouquet of flowers for me. They are the best brothers.

This was the Monday night before I left Maryland. A few of my friends came to Bill Bateman’s to say good bye. It was so sad to leave so many fun people that I have got to know over the last year. I miss all of them so much. I love all of you girls, thanks for your love and support. You girls are the best!

New Blog

Hello friends! I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend! The 4th of July is such a fun holiday. Well, this is really sad news and I don’t know if posting it on my blog is the best idea, but I think it’s the easiest way to let everyone know. The last 3 months have been a little crazy for Justin and I.
The day before April conference Justin told me that he did not believe that the church was true. Without going into to many details we tried to work things out over the last few months. It has not been an easy decision. As Justin and I were trying to work things out I started to question things about the church. Nothing major but a few things that Justin told me that I had never heard before.
I have gained a stronger testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. I know without a doubt, this is the true church. I have moved to Arizona and Justin and I are getting a divorce. I am crying as I type this because things are still pretty fresh. But I know that this is the best decision for me. I just want to thank my family and the friends who have prayed for me and helped me through this. I love you all. Have a great weekend, the church is true and I love you!
